We're excited to introduce SSO for Editors, enabling enterprise-grade authentication for your entire content creation team.
This new security feature allows your content creators and editors to access 7taps with the same secure authentication method used for your learners, streamlining access management while maintaining robust security protocols. By centralizing user authentication, you'll reduce IT management overhead and strengthen your overall security posture.
We've launched multi-factor authentication (MFA) for users, adding an essential layer of security to your 7taps environment. When enabled, users will be prompted to enter a verification code sent to their email each time they log in.
By default, MFA is disabled, but it can be activated for any account that requires enhanced protection. This feature helps you meet compliance requirements, prevents unauthorized access, and protects your learning content while remaining simple to implement and use.
To further strengthen platform security, we've enhanced password complexity requirements for all users. This upgrade aligns with industry best practices and helps organizations meet stringent security standards.
These improved password protocols help reduce the risk of unauthorized access while supporting compliance needs. No action is required from existing users, but all new passwords — whether during account creation or password reset — must now meet updated complexity rules, providing seamless enhanced protection.
We've added support for retakeable quizzes — a powerful new course-wide setting that ensures complete mastery of critical content. This feature allows L&D managers to require 100% correct answers before learners can progress, ideal for compliance and safety training where partial knowledge presents business risks.
Our implementation focuses on learner experience: users are stopped at incorrect answers and can retry immediately, creating an efficient learning loop. This approach reduces frustration while ensuring complete knowledge acquisition.
To maximize learning effectiveness, we've also introduced answer randomization as an optional setting (enabled by default for retakeable quizzes) to prevent memorization and reinforce genuine understanding, resulting in better knowledge retention and application.
7taps now supports horizontal videos, giving you greater flexibility in content creation! On desktops, clicking play expands the video to its full horizontal format. On mobile, learners receive a prompt to rotate their device for an immersive widescreen experience.
This new capability allows you to incorporate existing widescreen training videos without reformatting, use landscape-oriented demonstrations that show processes more clearly, and create more engaging visual content. The "Contain video" setting activates automatically when horizontal videos are added, making implementation seamless.
Building on our WhatsApp integration for individual courses, we've expanded this capability to include Learning Paths. You can now share complete learning sequences via WhatsApp, reaching learners through their preferred messaging platform.
This enhancement is also available in Learner Management, giving you greater flexibility in content distribution. For organizations with global or remote teams, this feature increases accessibility and engagement by meeting learners where they already are, potentially boosting completion rates and learning outcomes.
We've upgraded the sharing experience eliminating the need to switch tabs when sharing and distributing content.
This enhancement saves valuable time for L&D teams who frequently share courses, reducing friction in the content distribution process and making it faster to get learning materials to your audience. Small improvements like this add up to significant time savings across your learning operations.
We've enhanced our folder system with drag-and-drop functionality for media files. This intuitive improvement allows you to organize images, videos, and logos with simple mouse movements, eliminating multi-step processes.
For teams managing extensive media libraries, this enhancement increases productivity by streamlining content organization. It's particularly valuable for enterprises with large asset collections, helping maintain consistent branding and reducing time spent searching for specific files.
We've redesigned our downloadable PDF reports, creating a more comprehensive and visually polished reporting tool. The new format presents data more clearly and includes additional insights about learner performance.
These improved reports help L&D professionals demonstrate training ROI to stakeholders, make data-driven decisions about learning content, and identify knowledge gaps across the organization.
