How a solo L&D team rolled out compliance training on phones.
An audit, 120 people, and a broken LMS
A supervisor came to Michael Bailey asking for help. Webb Chemical was due for a food-grade certification audit. 120+ people needed training before it happened.
Michael runs L&D at Webb Chemical. By himself. He had the material in a PowerPoint and a deadline to hit. The LMS, his usual way of getting training to the team, was down.
From PowerPoint to phones
Michael uploaded the deck into 7taps. It produced a mobile training with cards, questions, and check-ins built from the source material.
He sent the link to the team. No LMS login. No app to install. People opened it on their phones.
About 87% finished on the first send. The CEO wrote back the next day. A sales rep said he actually remembered something from it.
87% of employees completed the training on the first send
When the auditor walked in, Michael opened the 7taps highlights on screen. He was able to show: who opened the training, who finished, who scored well, and who needed a retake.
The auditor was impressed. Michael spent less time with him than any auditor before. Other teams saw the training and started asking for it. When OSHA training came up later, Michael uploaded the PDF to 7taps and had it scheduled.
